Jair graduated from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia in 1991 with a degree in Civil Engineering and specialization in Geographic Emergency Service Mapping Solutions
Jair has been an active participant in GIS technology growth for the past 22 years in a wide variety of regions and industries. He started his career with the previous GIS Leader of the Mapping Industry known as Atlas GIS from Strategic Mapping Inc. in Silicon Valley, California, USA. He went on to develop other projects in different countries around South and Central America with Esri GIS in Redlands, California and Mapinfo GIS in Troy, NY. He then spent the next 5 years in the business of GIS Software works with Geoscape International as an associate partner in South America, mainly providing regional maps for Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
